White Collage by Keikichi Yamauchi architect and associate:
“This property stands on a modest wedge-shaped website with a frontage of 5.4m (18ft) and spot of 88㎡ (950ft2).
The eastern side of the site is a 20m- (65ft-) broad busy street, and the southern side faces a green park with a baseball field and tennis courts.Ahead of this home was created, scenes of the park currently existed: youngsters on the playground, old folks strolling their canines, or ginkgo trees that drastically alter their expression as the seasons progress. It is intended for “White Collage” to form a collage of the present each day scenes and the new scenes that are born from developing this new residence, and to create one unified scene.
Given that the developing will continue to exist on the certain internet site, improvement of a relationship with the surrounding universal setting is important, and it is a theme that must be tackled constantly. In order to capture a variety of sceneries of the neighboring park inside the house, and to produce a portion of the exterior skin for the building, .35mm (.14in) thick stainless steel sheets are positioned on the interior and exterior of the residence. As time and the seasons go by, the somewhat distorted reflections of the scenery on these thin stainless steel sheets hold shifting.”Site Program
