Having undergone an inspirational renovation, Glass House is a contemporary dream property embodying light and air. Located in Winchester, Hampshire in South England, this residence by AR Style Studio is a fresh consider on contrast with unique brickwork fused with walls of glass.
Formerly a dilapidated manor, the home was extended slightly in the direction of the rear to open up the floor plan, even though a single-story structure was constructed to even out the arrangement, although forming a quaint courtyard. A huge terrace with potted trees is somewhat elevated over the lawn, facing the trees and surrounding gardens. This magnificent glass addition echoes a greenhouse, which gets to be a cheery contribution to this much more conventional estate.
The shared residing space is open to the lounging region, dining space and kitchen, all resting inside a glazed box. The effect of stark white walls towards the glass is ethereal, with natural light pouring into these spaces throughout the day.
What is probably most stunning, is the way the traditional brick walls can be completely viewed, not to mention appreciated, from inside the new glass addition. These interiors seem to glow and are precisely minimalist, with white-on-white furnishings, smooth pale ceramic flooring, as effectively as a sleek, stainless steel kitchen. A frameless glazed railing becomes a focal point of this great room, wrapping a set of stairs which descends to the reduced level of the dwelling which functions a cellar.
Just a bit even more inside the residence, a large sheet of glass gets to be a skylight window in the upstairs hallway of the double-height main entrance. The staircase here is a masterpiece, appearing a lot more as an ar2rk installation, with thick slabs of glass seemingly suspended between the wall and sheet of glass acting as the handrail. A big rustic urn sits behind it, making a gallery impact inside of this otherwise bare area. Gorgeous style!
