Our son Ben, moved to Philly in January for his 1st true work following college (yea!) He moved into an apartment with a roommate and took most of his bedroom furnishings which includes the bed.
Given that he left house, his bedroom has grow to be a dumping ground for tasks, photo shoots, exercise tools and more. Now, he’;s coming home for Passover and this was how his room looked just final week!
On best of all the prep function that goes into Passover I had to purchase a bed, mattress and rug asap. Thank goodness Ikea is much less then an hour drive—last week I picked up the Brimnes bed frame since it was inexpensive, sturdy and fit into my auto. It came in black or white and I purchased the black.
When I received home I looked close to the room and it dawned on me: black would search terrible in his room! Would Ben care? No, but I did. Luckily we had a single of those sunny semi-warm days so I was in a position to paint it Benjamin Moore’;s River Reflections with some leftover paint.
Following painting I assembled the bed…
It took a single coat of primer and 2 coats of paint but I’;m so glad I painted…it looks so considerably greater!
The duvet is the Colour Block Striped Duvet from West Elm—I bought it on sale a number of weeks in the past…
and the gray quilt is the Vintage Washed Strong Quilt from the Threshold assortment at Target.
I’;m loving indoor/outdoor rugs recently. They are inexpensive and indestructible…you can wash them outside with a backyard hose!
This a single is the Bermuda Indoor Outdoor Rug from Ballard Patterns.
You might remember the lamp I discovered final month for $ 10.00 at a consignment shop…I had this spot in thoughts when I spotted the lamp and it is best.
The ar2rk was a present from a pal of my sister’;s whilst she was attending ar2rk college in Atlanta. I believe the architectural really feel of the ar2rk is ideal for a guy’;s space.
Now I can turn my interest to finish cleansing for Passover!
