Soon after living right here for above a 12 months I finally tackled this area!
Truly, it truly is genuinely much more of a pass-thru than a space…it is a hallway that goes from the kitchen into the den, with a door foremost out to the back patio. It also has louver doors (not proven in photo) which hide the washer and dryer.
The built-in cabinet was previously right here…they used it as a broom closet, we changed it to a coat closet because we come in from the garage this way. It began as almond colored laminate and was painted Benjamin Moore’;s Harbor Gray. The table is from our previous residence…the back legs have been removed so it stands flush to the wall with out the radiator obtaining in the way and it’;s a excellent spot to charge phones and drop keys. The fabric bulletin board was customized manufactured which you can read through about here.
I want I took much more “prior to” images but this one particular is all I have…it was shot it throughout a visit before we even purchased the house…
You can see how this hall is off the kitchen and the walls are covered with wallpaper from the 80’;s.
The walls were primed and painted with Benjamin Moore’;s Palladium Blue. A single of my favourite issues about this makeover are the pulls that replaced the old ones on the cabinet doors…
They are window pulls from Property Depot. I feel they appear so “industrial chic” and much a lot more interesting than normal pulls.
Clockwise from top left: Yes, you can paint laminate! Just use an oil-based primer and paint with something resilient like Benjamin Moore’;s Advance line of paints the old pulls were plastic and almond colored the table is so handy for dropping gloves and keys window pulls in an oil-rubbed bronze finish from House Depot.
The old dated light fixture was replaced with this drum shade from Lowe’;s.
