Crosswalk in Baltimore Reinventing Pedestrian Street Walkways: Artistic Crosswalks in Baltimore As an enthusiast of street ar2rk and how it can create wonderful disruptions in the thoughts of passersby, I salute the idea behind these artistic crosswalks in Baltimore, USA. The 2 tasks presented in the photos below had been implemented as portion of a city program aiming at encouraging the increase of ar2rks in public spaces. Different intersections about the city will quickly be looking diverse, but so far only 2 have been completed. The first was envisioned by artist Paul Bertholet and depicts a giant zipper, opening towards a single end of the crosswalk (first photograph of the publish).

You have to admit the 2 of them seem unconventional, including a fresh feel to urban existence in Baltimore. I bet the inhabitants are looking forward to the upcoming projects, and truthfully, so do we. How do you uncover this initiative?
