The Medic’s Home is a present day extension to a 1950′s 3 bedroom residence in Hampshire, United Kingdom, envisioned by Andy Ramus and Laurent Metrich of AR Design and style Studio. The residence is inhabited by 2 Winchester based Doctors, who needed added residing space with the arrival of their new child daughter. AR Layout Studio’s solution was to “create a large charcoal grey living box at ground level with a complete height glazed opening elevation to the garden. A timber clad sleeping pod is perched above at 1st floor level offering the added bedrooms”.
The ground floor of the addition hosts the kitchen, an open prepare living and dining location, a toilet and 3 large eco-pleasant sliding glass panels providing garden views. A hugely minimalist layout technique, with black and white finishes was picked. This gives the place an elegant, yet sober really feel, softened only by the wealthy landscape outdoors.
