Meet the amazing and dynamic Seashore Walk House located on Fire Island, New York, a project developed by SPG Architects. As you can see, the home’s framework consists of 3 volumes, each establishing a boundary amongst the interior places. The crew accountable with the venture managed “to create a dynamic composition of 3 intersecting rectilinear types, which is rotated on the site off the prevailing grid. This selection maximized each views and privacy.”
The initial vertical slatted volume (positioned on the ground floor) houses various equipments. It’s a very good deposit space for beach, sports and leisure-related products. The central wooden volume accommodates numerous bedrooms and baths, for the 2, visitors and inhabitants. Now, on top of that, there’s the metallic clad volume, containing an open program living room, spacious, relaxed and final, but not least, with amazing views of the ocean. Our favourite spot is (definitely) the living area. A warm and calming ambiance encompasses the location. It magically transforms itself into a romantic shelter, particularly for the duration of the evenings, when the warm, subtle light spots are turned on. Photo credits: Daniel Levin, Jimi Billingsley.
