Hunter Kenihan of Indian Summertime Investments LLC sent us an inspiring home makeover project. When the present proprietor purchased this 1920′s bungalow with craftsman factors, it had the classic outdated Los Angeles floor program, 2 little bedrooms and a modest bathroom between them. It was also on a significant hill with excellent views of northeast Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Mountains : “I wanted to increase and modernize the house in the most organic way attainable and ultimately this resulted in ripping off the total roof and beginning fresh while also reconfiguring the layout“, explained the designer.
The entire inside of the residence was rebuilt and all layout alternatives were produced with a craftsman/farmhouse design in thoughts. The designer was in a position to preserve the authentic white oak floors and considerably of the exterior siding and then match them when the property was expanded. The addition came straight off the back of the residence and consisted of a ~350 square foot master suite with french doors major to the backyard.
