Property G by Maxwan architects + urbanists:

“Our clients had purchased an previous barn on a stunning 2ha (5 acre) site bordering the river Linge. We have been asked to assist recognize their dream of a massive kitchen residing room the place they could chill out, entertain close friends and organize wine tasting sessions for their buyers.

In the past, the earlier owners had already recognized an extension by just extruding the high barn, including 10 meters (33 feet), in 2 floors.

At our first visit we located the house tough to inhabit. Most strikingly, virtually no relation existed to the stunning landscape surrounding the property. All façade openings have been as well small, in the incorrect location, or the 2.

We proposed to invert the layout of the home, moving the offices and storage space to occupy the current extension and the private spaces to the outdated barn. A big slit was lower into the barn roof to carry in light. The ultimate touch was a huge piece of furniture that would serve as kitchen, storage, stairs and library all at when.”
