Soon after a handful of many years spent in bedroom suburbs, Catherine and her husband bought an apartment on the embankment of the Moscow River. The refurbishment lasted 9 months, and practically on the following day after the closing date the couple had a little one. The lodging was found rather tight for the young household, and the guys manufactured up their thoughts to lease it out.
What was the lodging like at the minute of obtain? A uniform 2-room apartment with a prolonged corridor, a tiny kitchen and a toilet separate from bathroom. Catherine had all the walls torn down and worked out the new strategy of layout.
The hosts were aimed at universality — turned a 1-bedroom apartment into a full-fledged 3-area flat and, for all its eclectic fashion idea, produced the interior neutral.
A large share of furniture emigrated from the ex-lodging and set the colour variety for the interior décor. The owners did their best to balance and combine designer furnishings, IKEA stuff, low-cost components, wallpaper and finishing materials, the bulk of which had been ordered from Andrew Martin showroom.
Striped wallpaper by Ralph Lauren was picked up to match the orange shelf in the lounge. A table, floor lamp and chairs are manufactured by IKEA. Curtains, chair covers and pillow slips have been custom-made. Chandeliers in type of Vogue Cafe are a fairly priced copy from a basement store.
Tile for the cooking zone is in fact dalle. It teams happily with chrome. A kitchen set is created in Germany.

Facing the entrance door is a bathroom. Tile — Fornasetti.
Chairs are domestic. Doors of different colours on either side had been ordered from Union organization, which had in no way dealt with this kind of tasks prior to. After paying a lot of time and work on it, the business chalked the know-how up and incorporated it into the selection.
Orange drawers for a recess had been also brought from the prior accommodation. The matching posters had been printed by decorator Galina Shashkova and put in hand-created passe-partouts.

A zebrano bed and furniture have been transported from the ex-lodging.
Textile, which IKEA curtains are created from, was also employed for sewing the bedspread.
