Casa Joía by Studio Arte Architecture & Style and Lusco Fusco Concepts:
“Casa Joía is a jewel on the coastline of Carvoeiro- Algarve-Portugal.
Made by architects from Studio Arte, Located on the front line of the south coast of Portugal.
Outdoors it was entirely renovated and kept in classic layout.
Within practically nothing reminds you of the outdated fisherman’s house it used to be.
The Dutch owners sensed the great chance of this venue and gave Studio Arte (Arnold Aarssen and Meta Roeymans) and Lusco Fusco Concepts (Janneke Haane) the opportunity to develop a fabulous residence. The limited space of the outdated Portuguese residence was a challenge for both the architects and interior designer. From the outdoors the house was stripped and left in standard type.
The frontdoor is a standard example of the designers type the old door design and style carried out in a present day way with white perforated metal.
The principal colour in the residence used is pure white. The surroundings with the blue ocean, blue sky, yellow coastline and colourful townhouses invite the guest to go outside to one of the stunning terraces.
Bathing in light and space you will feel more than comfy in this modern day retreat.
The spacious residing room has superbly been decorated with a minimal of comfortable furnishings.
All is kept clean and basic.
The focus lies on what occurs outdoors, within is like a cocoon of white& grey tones and atmospheric lighting.
Big patio doors open up towards the initial terrace. Here the guests can enjoy wining- dining and be amazed by the view on the seaside and ocean.
A hidden staircase prospects in the direction of a 2nd bedroom with a spacious bathroom with Japanese bath en-suite downstairs.
SUN and STARS
Up towards the sun and the stars there is a 70m2 (753sqft) roof terrace.
The view and noises of the sea and the seagulls are breathtaking gorgeous. The terrace is turned into a fantastic location for the visitors to get pleasure from in luxury so it’s offered with an outside kitchen with BBQ. fridge, freezer, a spacious lounge set, sun beds, fireplace and…….a small swimming pool, which can be heated, if necessary , in the colder months.
The ideal location to chill out and appreciate the sunset soon after a day on the seaside.”
