British architectural firm SHH has designed the Addison Street Home.
Completed in 2012, this 10,000 square foot contemporary residence with a retained front facade attributes 5 floors of luxurious living spaces including a massive indoor swimming pool, spa, fitness center and cinema.
It is found in London, England, United Kingdom.
Addison Road by SHH:
“SHH has completed a new-create, detached, 7-bed, 5-storey residence in west London (with retained front façade), which characteristics one of the greatest pools of any property in the region (measuring 14m x 4.5m and positioned behind a sunken rear courtyard).
An original Victorian residence on the internet site had been split into 4 flats in the post-war time period, which the recent owner had bought piecemeal more than time, before coming to SHH with a vision of converting the total house into a single, luxury household residence, based on the principle of lateral living, with large ceilings and extensive residing spaces, as effectively as a very generous pool and leisure complicated under ground, to include a spa, sauna, steam room, health club, bar region, altering rooms, toilets, stroll-in wine cellar, playroom and cinema/media space.
“The new house’ commented Undertaking Leader and SHH Associate Director Guy Matheson, “has a comparable above-ground footprint to the one we replaced. A former 1950s flat-roof extension to the left of the house has been replaced in the exact same design as the retained façade, with the new roof covering both sections. The brickwork of the retained front façade has also been tuck-pointed, which is one thing of a lost art-form and provides the developing a quite crisp aesthetic.””
