Seatoun Heights Property by Parsonson Architects:
“The property sits on a steep site over Seatoun heights Street subdivided off the house directly to the north.
It was developed for a couple with 2 youthful ladies and to match entirely inside the WCC District Prepare developing envelope. The owners have been attracted to the website simply because of the views and the imagined of currently being surrounded by the existing vegetation.
Our remedy was to excavate the bedroom degree back into the hillside and contemplate it in a subtly organic way, meandering across the website, jutting in and out, allowing in light and views and providing differing characters to each of the bedrooms. The bedroom degree is clad in dark vertical corrugated iron, which visually anchors the type into the website and is intended to develop a relationship with the established trees.
It is taken care of as a podium or base to the lighter kind of the living level above, which flows across the bedroom degree and wraps close to a existing small flat area of lawn and backyard to the northwest of the home. The floor level actions down in direction of the see and views are offered from the lawn via the home and out to the harbour beyond.
The residence has a lift shift between the garage and bedroom levels (with no lift platform put in as nevertheless) as a method to potential evidence the buildings worth. Following significantly consideration it was considered that by building a home of this dimension and value properly above the street there stood a greater opportunity of not more than capitalizing by including a lift.”
