Maison Ecole Normale by FABRE/deMARIEN Architects:
“A home as a filter amongst a active street and a quiet backyard.
From the street, some methods and a brick façade as a safety. Light is coming from the slits. From the backyard, an open façade with 2 generous windows of 10 meters (33 feet) broad. Within, a big patio as a lantern and green lung brings light and normal ventilation to all rooms. Facing the house the lengthy swimming pool cross the garden coming from the renovated annex.
The development is simple using concrete and glass as primary resources. Beam-column method, floor slab, methods, seat, and concrete shelves are sheltered by huge window frames in aluminum providing all spaces an within-out feeling.”Initial Degree
