LOFT Milano is a task completed by architects Frederic Gooris and Werner Silvestri.
It is located in Milan, Italy, and was completed in 2008.
LOFT Milano by Frederic Gooris and Werner Silvestri:
“In the centre of Milan, and old soap factory from the 19th century was transformed into lofts. One particular loft was restructured to turn into a combination of house and workplace. The building’s previous was the commencing level of the new project: a glass edition of the “supervisor’s office” (with a 4,5m [15ft] sliding glass door) was raised over the antique wooden work floor making an workplace space that is isolated acoustically whilst still seeing the rest of the open space and preserving the abundant flow of light. Throughout workplace hours, the dining area transforms into the meeting area by closing the kitchen in an oversized closet. The semi-underground decanting tubs were transformed into 1 big sleeping area with dressing space and bathroom.”
