Positioned in London, England, Hampstead Property is a personal house re-designed by TG Studio.

It was finished in 2012, and has a wealthy and vibrant interior with a sturdy sense of persona.

Hampstead Residence by TG Studio:

“Interior Architect Thomas Griem of TG STUDIO purchased this Arts and Crafts home in London in 2011.The house had not been touched for 50 many years and was quite much in the identical issue when built exactly 100 years ago in 1912.

Griem extended the constructing to the side and rear without making the additions noticeable.

The home was gutted and re-planned so that his household of 5 – (3 young children aged 6, 4 and 2) have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. On the ground floor the extensions have all been extra to the kitchen/eating spot which is now a good size household area consisting of kitchen with island and dining room. The family members existence actually takes place right here. Griem has employed a Leicht kitchen with Gaggenau appliances. The surfaces are veined limestone and caracara marbles mixed with higher gloss white doors. The next-door residing area similarly underwent a hefty-duty refurbishment. “We eliminated the plaster, ceiling, doors and floors,” says Griem. Broad-plank oiled oak floorboards have been laid while complete-height doors were installed to create a feeling of spaciousness. “My architectural practice, TG Studio, made a lacquered media cabinet in deep petrol blue and also created the room’s bespoke oak shelving”.

The significance of excellent joinery can be witnessed in the master bedroom (with en suite) which originally lacked any storage. Wardrobes are now cleverly created into the dormers and sloping roof space even though a window seat with deep drawers beneath is fitted into the bay. With no spare wall to site a Television, a ceiling projector has been put in and a drop down screen has been installed in front of the bay. 6 yr old Rocco’s bedroom on the prime floor was initially a bathroom. By moving an internal wall just a number of inches, Griem has cleverly squeezed a tiny ensuite into this massive airy space. More dead roof room could have been employed for storage but Griem made the decision to maintain it as a kids’ hidey-hole kitted out with a mattress and cushions.”
