Guide Tower House by Platform 5 Architects:

“Book Tower Home is a common late Victorian mid-terraced residence in Hampstead, London. The original house contained some Arts and Crafts influenced decorative elements, which the owners had been keen to retain and highlight, while introducing modern interventions.

The major attribute is a double height library room at the heart of the home, developed by combining the authentic rear reception area and a 1st floor bedroom. The feature staircase, wrapped in oak bookshelves, prospects up to a built-in desk and examine location with views above the ground floor.

To the rear of the house, a side extension to the existing kitchen was formed by resting an oak rib and skin framework, externally clad in zinc, onto the brick celebration wall. A cosy seating location with slide-away corner glazing creates a area the place you come to feel surrounded by the backyard.”
