Fitty Wun by Feldman Architecture:

“The design and style for Fitty Wun displays the playful, at times irreverent, personalities of the clients, a couple with 3 lively youthful boys and a “work difficult, play hard” technique to life. The clients sought after a house centered on massive, light-filled central spaces exactly where the youngsters and buddies of the family would adore to hang out today and also 10 years from now. This room also acts as a welcoming, warm sort of “Panopticon that enables the boys the freedom to be boys while the parents are strategically inside of ear, if not usually eyeshot, to arbitrate, adjudicate and apply fundamental healthcare direction” (the client’s phrases!).

The front façade is an interpretation of a traditional townhouse—a basic composition that blends in with the community but hints at the present day interior by means of scale and materials choice. The primary floor consists of a excellent space merging the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The kitchen opens upward to the ceiling, bringing light down from 2 stories over. Nooks and revolutionary storage answers permit the excellent room—a place for cooking, eating, functioning, and playing—to be the hub of the household without clutter. The residing space flows out onto a deck and into the backyard, where there is plenty of room for the family’s varied, energetic activities.

The metal-screened stair, backed by a tiled function wall, leads from the street-degree entry to the upper floors, exactly where a catwalk connects the bedrooms and rings the atrium. A diagonal stair above the atrium leads up farther to a floating office “pod” and the roof deck. The pod gives an acoustically separated area for the consumer to escape sometimes from all the excitement below. The roof deck, surrounded by a green roof, appears out to broad views.”
