This modern and unique private residence created in 2012 by Aamer Architects situated in Singapore.“Tan’s Garden Villa” Back in 2001, the Proprietor, Mr Adrian Tan, commissioned Aamer to design his home(s) at No 42. There a big bungalow plot was divided into 2 to accommodate separate but identical houses which won the prestigious Singapore Institute of Architects’ Style Award in 2004.
Some 10 many years later on Adrian acquired the plot up coming door, No 40, with the intention of creating yet another house and hence obtaining 3 homes 1 for themselves and 1 for every of their 2 grown up sons with their potential families.
The thought, for that reason, was to layout the new home in sync with the previous 2 but different, of course. Adrian specifically requested for a garden courtyard and koi pond. Therefore, the swimming pool was developed on the roof with remarkable views more than the estate and surrounding homes which are largely 2 storey bungalows.
Also, for this home, given that the sons are presently in their late teens and early twenties they wished a lot more room and privacy. So an interesting planning layout placed the boys’ rooms outside via a verandah terrace with their personal accessibility from the ground appropriate up to the rooftop enjoyment area and pool garden terrace.
Much like the initial 2 homes the materials are extremely normal like timber, marble and granites, blending well with the lush vertically stacked gardens.
In addition, equivalent to the first 2 homes, gardens and greenery are essential to the Proprietor. So even though the very first 2 houses had trees growing by means of wooden balconies, this time creepers are twining up vertical timber trellises that extend above the rooftop swimming pool. Even the bath rooms are open to gardens with lush flora and fauna like birds & butterflies producing this a genuinely vertical backyard villa!
