Czech designers Jan Plechac & Henry Wielgus have designed a new assortment of pendant lighting for Lasvit coined Moulds, inspired by old wooden molds located at the Lasvit archives.

Clear and blue glass attribute.

“The fact that one thing so fine and pure in shape as crystal glass is formed in one thing so raw and fundamentally primitive as a charred glass mold fascinated us. We tried to create a light that combine the elegance of crystal with the rusticity of a wooden form clinched with iron nails,” explained the designers.

The integrated LED source is inserted straight into the purposefully charred mold.

The composition of irregular ‘overblown’ shapes would make a striking cluster in an interior setting.
