Day Trip: Stonington, Connecticut

1 of the factors I enjoy about living in the Northeast is getting no more than 2 hours away to so a lot of factors…skiing, great cities and of course the seashore. In excess of the July 4th holiday we visited a little seashore town on the Connecticut sound, Stonington.
Stonington is referred to as “the most gorgeous seaside village in New England.” Because it really is a narrow, mile-lengthy peninsula pointing into Fisher’s Island Sound and Minor Narragansett Bay, absolutely nothing is far more than a short walk from your auto or boat. It took us only a single hour to drive there which made it excellent for a day journey. Here are some of my favored sights from the day…

From “The Point” you can see 3 states–Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York. Stonington Borough is a significant yachting center with all the amenities and the beautiful harbor boasts boats of all kinds and sizes.
I ❤ Connecticut.
